Amit Anil Chandra Shah(born 22 October 1964) is an Indian government official right now filling in as the Minister of Home Affairs. He filled in as the President of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2014 to 2020. He was chosen for the lower place of Parliament, Lok Sabha, in the 2019 Indian general decisions from Gandhinagar. Prior, he had been chosen as an individual from the upper place of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, from Gujarat in 2017. Sworn in at 54 years old, he is the most youthful serving full-time Home Minister. He is the main planner of the BJP and a nearby helper to Narendra Modi.
During his school days, Shah was an individual from the ABVP, the understudy wing of the RSS. At 18 years old, he got a situation in the ABVP and joined the BJP in 1987. Shah was first chosen in Gujarat as the MLA for a seat incompletely covering Ahmedabad, Sarkhej in 1997 (a by-political race).
