3 Key Influence Techniques. We found that influential strategies fall into 3 categories: rational, emotional, or cooperative complaints. We call the people we call using our head, heart, or hands.

At first, you may want to try new, less risky tactics, one that you already know. As you become more flexible and experienced in influencing people, you will gain confidence in your ability to use persuasion, especially in high-level situations. But also consider changing tactics immediately if you have a stress problem that has stopped because of a lack of purchases or support. Can a logical, emotional, or cooperative approach make a difference? If so, keep trying to find an alternative, on the other hand – and you may find yourself having more influence than you think possible.

What Ways of Influence Should Not Be?
Here’s how to put one together for use with your system. To understand what might be best for a particular job or strategy, consider the following:
Check the status. Why did you participate in this work? Why do you need this person’s support? What results are you trying to achieve by influencing the person? Be clear about who you are influencing and what you want to achieve.
Get to know your audience. Identify and understand your participants. Each will have its own issues and problems, as well as its own agenda, ideas and priorities. Different groups and individuals will need different approaches to influence. Plan your impact strategy – taking into account the personality, goals and objectives of the individual – and the roles and responsibilities of the organization.
Review your skill. What tactics did you use most? Which seems to work best? What new strategies can you try in this situation? Reach out to others for advice or training, too. For example, if you stay focused on sound complaints, use your active participant to help you think of your own conflict resolution strategies.
Analyze your speech. What strategies will work best? What sensible complaints will be most effective? How can you make an emotional or cooperative complaint? What can you say or do directly about using each type of strategy? Wait for the answers you can get and adjust your answer. What arguments can you use? What are some influential strategies that can help?
